IB 20th Century World History

20th Century World History explores four topics that have affected our contemporary world profoundly. These topics include: causes, practices and effects of wars; the Cold War; authoritarian and single party states; and conflict and intervention. This course will challenge students while providing them the opportunity to explore and make sense of both the great
diversity and interrelatedness of world history. Political, economic, religious, technological and social issues will be considered, as well as cultural elements and themes when relevant. *This course fulfills economics and government requirements.
